2010 BMW Interns

BMW has continued its Evans Scholars Internship Experience in 2010. Beginning in May, BMW of North America offered two students the opportunity to work with BMW and gain valuable hands-on working experience with BMW of North America.

Lisa Ephraim, a 2010 graduate from the University of Illinois, is working in the Central Region of BMW North America, in Schaumburg, Illinois, to assist both the BMW and MINI regional marketing teams in coordinating various event management duties and day-to-day activities.

She is currently working on a range of projects including planning and execution of BMW Championship events, Central Region sponsorships and events, program wrap-up, and gaining dealership experience. Lisa is also working with BMW on their tournament marketing initiatives and assisting with local BMW Championship activation. Lisa graduated with a degree in accounting. She grew up in Palos Hills, Illinois, and caddied at Edgewood Valley Country Club in La Grange, Illinois.

Anthony Gumieny, a junior at the University of Wisconsin, is currently based at the Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne, Florida. He is responsible for overseeing test drive reservations, test drive allotment, maintenance of test drive vehicles, on-site materials and branding, results reporting, miscellaneous on-site promotions/events, and special projects. Anthony is majoring in philosophy and economics. He is from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and caddied at Blue Mound Golf and Country Club in Wauwatosa.

Both BMW-Evans Scholars interns will be on-site at the 2010 BMW Championship and will gain even more hands-on experience.
