Beaubier and Kelly set the fastest times for all Superbike practice and qualifying sessions, allowing both to start both Steel Commander Superbike races from the front row.

Race 1 was a tough start for Beaubier, which forced back in the field, and he needed to push hard to catch the leaders. JD Beach was running in third and Kelly in sixth as Beaubier worked his way back to join his teammate at the front. Beaubier and Beach were in third and fourth respectively when, with two laps to go, the second place rider went off-course, allowing both Tytlers Cycle Racing riders to capture the second and third podium spots.

In Race 2, Sean Dylan Kelly and Cameron Beaubier both had excellent starts with Kelly getting the advantage and propelling himself into the lead. The race turned out to be a very close battle between Kelly and the Ducati rider until, with 2 laps to go, Kelly was pushed back to second position. Beaubier would finish third.

Stock 1000 riders did not race in Mid-Ohio.

2024 Championship Standings

Cameron Beaubier is in 4th place in season Superbike class standings with Sean Dylan Kelly moving up to 6th and JD Beach in 8th.

Danilo Lewis continues to lead the Superbike Championship Cup points race followed by Nolan Lamkin in 3rd, Alex Arango in 6th and Agustin Sierra in 10th.

Just two race weekends left and the next event to see BMW Motorrad Motorsport Customer Race teams in action will be at MotoAmerica Superbikes at Texas, September 13-15
